Born and raised in Baltimore, Jim was called into the ministry while at a Christian Music festival in Virginia. He then gave notice at his job at AT&T and moved to Lakeland Florida to attend Southeastern University where he studied music. The city of Baltimore was so shaken up over his departure that both the Colts and Oprah left shortly after that….both have done well.
While in college, Jim played bass guitar for several groups as well as playing on the worship team at Carpenter’s Home Church. He met his wife at CHC and married her May of ’89. One year later he started in radio at WCIE hosting evenings as well as the Christian Rock show, Living Water on Saturday nights. He continued in radio as well as working as a Children’s Pastor for several churches until 2008 when he joined the morning team at His Radio.
Jim and his wife, Tracy, have four children and live in the upstate of South Carolina. They own an After School Care which operates year round and services 14 schools. Though very busy, they are enjoying life and are always amazed at God’s goodness in their lives.
