Stockings For Soldiers

His Radio is collecting Christmas Stocking for Soldiers the whole month of October.  We appreciate our soldiers and the sacrifice they and their families are making to defend our freedoms.

Encouragement from home means a lot.  Making homemade Christmas cards for the soldiers would be a way to show how much appreciation we have for them for the sacrifices they are making.  THEN....fill them with various snack items, fun things, necessities that a deployed soldier would need.   ***Note:  The photo above is fun, but you don't need to find a stocking that is camouflage design!  Find any style Christmas stocking you like!

Make this a family or Sunday School project!   We'll see that the Stockings get shipped to a Soldier or Airman based near us who is deployed overseas for the Christmas holiday season.

The Stockings may include

  • beef  jerky, granola bars, peanuts, peanut-cheese crackers,
  • crunchy  peanut butter, graham crackers,  UNO,
  • Christian CD’s, CD Players, Games, Puzzles, Sudoku,
  • Crosswords, Pop-tarts, Hard candy, Disposable cameras,
  • Trail mix/dried fruit, Batteries (assorted sizes), Bug/Sting Relief Balm, Chapstick & Sunscreen kits,
  • Playing cards, Moist towelettes, Paper,  Colored pencils
  • Christmas Decorations, a little piece of home.
