From humble beginnings in 1929, my Great Grandfather, Alton Johnson, and Great Grandmother, Lena Johnson, opened a small watch repair shop aptly named “Johnson’s” in downtown Raleigh. Over the following years they decided to take the business a step further and develop into a full service jewelry store.
With each new generation, our store has been blessed with innovative ideas and growth. After Grandfather Joe retired, my uncle, Joey Lee III, and dad, Dan Hudgins, were the next to take over. Joey and Dan eventually moved the store to its current location in Olde Raleigh Village.
I invite you to visit us at Johnson’s Jewelers of Raleigh and let us help you find jewelry that will create a special history with your family.
